Donor programmes at Lotus Fertility enable individuals and couples to achieve pregnancy using donated eggs, sperm, or embryos. Donation is an established, well-regulated pathway to parenthood — and for many patients, the option that makes biological family-building possible.

All donors are carefully screened for medical, genetic, and infectious conditions. Matching is conducted sensitively, taking into account physical characteristics and any other preferences expressed by the recipient couple.

"Donor conception expands what is possible — allowing more people to experience the joy of parenthood and family."

Types of Donation

Egg Donation

Eggs from a screened donor are fertilised with the recipient's partner's (or donor) sperm through IVF/ICSI. The recipient carries the pregnancy. Recommended for women with diminished ovarian reserve, premature ovarian insufficiency, or repeated IVF failure.

Sperm Donation

Donor sperm is used in IUI or IVF/ICSI. Suitable for single women, same-sex female couples, or cases of severe male factor infertility where no sperm can be retrieved.

Embryo Donation

Frozen embryos donated by other families who have completed their own IVF journey are transferred to the recipient. This offers a complete embryo without the need for stimulation.

Known Donation

In some cases, patients bring their own known donor — a friend or family member. All known donor arrangements require full medical screening, genetic testing, and implications counselling.
